Privacy Policy

Zodia is built around some of the most personal data there is: the moment you were born and the questions you carry. This policy explains plainly what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Who we are

Zodia is operated by the Zodia team. If anything in this policy is unclear, write to us at support@zodia.app and a human will answer.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and sign-in identifiers (for example from Sign in with Apple).
  • Birth details: the birth date, time and place you enter, plus the coordinates and timezone we derive from them, used to compute your natal chart.
  • Content you share: photos of your coffee cup, chat messages, dream descriptions, tarot questions, and the names and birth details you enter for compatibility readings.
  • Preferences: your language, focus areas and notification settings.
  • Usage and diagnostics: product analytics events, crash reports, device and app version information, and your subscription status.

How we use your data

  • To compute your birth chart and the charts of compatibility profiles you add.
  • To generate your readings: daily horoscope, coffee, tarot, dream and compatibility content, and Zodia's chat replies.
  • To run your subscription and restore purchases.
  • To fix crashes, prevent abuse and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising.

AI processing and coffee cup photos

Your readings are generated by third-party AI providers working on our behalf. To produce a coffee reading, the photos of your cup are sent to the AI model together with relevant parts of your chart. Once the reading is generated, the photos are removed from the AI prompt context; they are not reused in later AI requests.

We do not allow our AI providers to use your photos, messages or birth details to train their models.

Service providers

We share data only with the processors that run Zodia, and only what each needs:

  • Supabase: database, authentication and storage.
  • AI providers (Anthropic and Google): generating readings and chat replies.
  • RevenueCat: subscription management. Payment itself is processed by Apple; we never see your card details.
  • Sentry: crash and error reporting.
  • PostHog: product analytics.

Retention

Your readings, chat history and chart stay in your account so you can return to them, for as long as your account exists. Diagnostic and analytics data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account inside the app at any time, from Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, birth details, photos, readings, chat history and compatibility profiles from our systems.

You can also email support@zodia.app and we will delete your account for you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and the KVKK in Turkey, you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we will honor these requests.

Children

Zodia is for people aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
